RAMA-RASA" is a multimedia project of electroacoustic music, which refers to the principles of the neuroscientist V.S. Ramachandran, contained in the book: "The Tell-Tale Brain". The version we present in this festival, is completely new and unpublished, compared to a first project in 2022. The songs were arranged in a completely different way. He deepened , in various essays, the relationship between neuro-perceptual mechanisms and artistic creation, summarizing it in nine aesthetic laws. For example, one of this laws is the Symmetry. In the case of the Song "Certi Momenti”, for example, both the score and the text have been structured according to a Symmetrical scheme. Our brain loves shortcuts and symmetrical elements that facilitate the aesthetic enjoyment and an easy understanding of sounds, images and texts. The performance of the song "Certi Momenti", referred to a scale of notes defined by the french composer Olivier Messiaen (1908-1992); this scale, played on the keyboard of the guitar, presents a series of symmetries related to the positions on the keys. This structure gives suggestive sounds to the melodies and to the harmonies. The text, composed of six short stanzas, (divided into four verses of which the first is long and the three other shorts), suggests six metaphorical flashes; they would like to express the emotional ambiguities of the passage of time. The “Rama-Rasa” tracks can be performed live on the guitar and through the use of software that recalled pre-recorded clips. related, depending on the case, to the text, the Percussions, the Synthesizers or the Bass.) In addition, a particular sensor allowed the musician to modulate the timbre during sound events by receiving in real time the impulse of the performer’s body movements of approach and retreat.
